Supporting science: teaching assistants making a difference
This is an essential course for teaching assistants who support learning in science in either primary or secondary schools. During the course you will develop your investigative skills, consider the health and safety issues of practical activities, explore strategies to promote student’s learning and progress and apply this to your support of student’s in the classroom.
You will extend your knowledge of scientific concepts, the use of scientific vocabulary and questioning. Throughout the course, you will also develop your personal skills and become more proactive with students and colleagues back in school.
