This is a collection of links, connecting the work completed as part of the Teach Too scheme.
"Teach Too is about encouraging people from industry to spend some time teaching their work. This includes:
- industry professionals teaching in provider or workplace environments, and/or contributing to curriculum development, whilst continuing to work;
- promoting the practice of teachers and trainers updating their industry experience;
- helping to build the ‘two-way street’ – genuinely collaborative arrangements between employers and providers."
Teach Too: Carshalton college with Mirobot
Robotics is a valuable tool for teaching learners how different disciplines work together in productio. The video shows how two different groups of learners came to together to be taught through a new approach, using a project-based robotics module introduced into the IT curriculum.
Teach Too: Craven college with Swissport
Mathematics crucially underpins many functions in the safety-critical industry of airport and aircraft operations. This video shows how curriculum and employer staff developed a collaborative programme of study to develop skills in mathematics using the work-related context of aircraft load control
Teach Too: UKTD developing the use of online platforms
Occupational experts (hairdressers and salon managers) worked with UKTD, sharing their expertise to develop and test the ability of online platforms. The video gives an insight into how this work helped provide technical skills, soft skills, functional skills, business skills and pastoral support.
