Angles
Although focused on Key Stage 4 at foundation level, these resources could obviously be used for a wide range of pupils. It is designed to bring the core angle topics together, for example measuring them and angle rules.
Angles
Within this link there are various files, so I wanted to identify the most relevant. The file entitled "angles" could be used as a workbook, it contains basic guidance and then questions to try for each section. It covers angles in context, estimating, measuring, links with pie charts & polygons to some extent, types of angles, basic angle rules, construction and types of triangles. The section called "overhead slides" is actually a good resource to use for worksheets, with one small topic a slide. "Mental tests" is designed to be delivered verbally, however, if you print off one copy, use corrector fluid on the answers and then photocopy, you can quickly create a class set of end of topic tests! The "extra exercises" resource is similar to the first workbook, however it contains no guidance or explanations, and is more compact.
Angles, Bearings and Maps
Compared to the "Unit 5 Angles" link, I would say this resource would be an extension/for more able students. It briefly covers angle basics, for example estimating, measuring and types of angles, before moving on to angles in parallel lines, bearings and scale drawings. The most useful files are the "Angles, Bearings and Maps" PDF, which could be used as a workbook for pupils and it gives basic guidance (or it could be projected on the board); the "overhead slides" section can be used for worksheets with one topic to a page; "mental tests" is designed to be given verbally as the answers are right next to the questions (however, if you print one off, delete the answers with corrector fluid, then photocopy, you have a class set of tests ready!); "extra exercises" is similar to the first workbook but more compact and without any guidance.
Shape Games for Students Aged 11-13
This link has been chosen due to the first file "estimating angles", it is a simple pairs game for estimating and measuring angles. It needs minimum preparation and is a good tool for a topic some pupils don't always retain year on year.
