RA3: Raising Aspirations, Attitudes and Achievement

The RA3 project, provided by the Centre for Science Education, aims to bring parents together with their children and teachers to explore the worlds of science, technology and mathematics.

Through stimulating group activities parents and guardians are encouraged to collaborate, in a learning environment, with their children and teachers to find out about and support the ways their children learn, whilst learning themselves. Activities are designed to be challenging but fun and provide experiences of science, technology, engineering and maths through everyday contexts.

The activities in this collection look at:
* Green fairgrounds
* Ecofootprints
* Construction
* Energy and environment
* Mechanisms: robot building
* Fishy business
