Summary
This is a network meeting to give science NQT's, trainee teachers and inexperienced teachers a forum to meet and chat to share experience.
The focus of this session is;
o Purposeful Practicals
o Understand the purpose of using practical work in Science lessons
o Support the planning, and evaluation, of practical work based on identifying the specific purposes of the task
o Examine how the purpose of practical work might change between Key Stages 3 & 4
Outcomes
Participants will be able to:
- keep up to date with the latest developments in teaching and the science curriculum
- receive face to face support from experienced science teachers
- build a network of local contacts
- discuss issues relevant to your own class teaching
