Summary
This is an opportunity to engage with local employers and raise your awareness of the myriad of STEM related career opportunities in Cornwall. This will allow you to embed good careers guidance (including the Gatsby benchmarks) and to understand the LMI in Cornwall. Also, discover how to use STEM Ambassadors to provide real-world contexts to lessons. The evening will comprise of a short talk and networking.
There should be a small buffet provided. Please state any dietary requirements on booking.
Outcomes
You will be able to:
- meet with local employers to keep up-to-date with the local Labour Market Information (LMI)
- discover what can be provided for career advice as required by the Gatsby benchmarks.
- understand how to find STEM ambassadors for your school.
