Share your volunteering stories this International Volunteers’ Day

International Volunteers’ Day takes place on 5 December and is an annual celebration of the amazing work that volunteers do around the world.

At STEM Learning, we are hugely proud of the amazing work that STEM Ambassadors do across the UK. Our 30,000 STEM Ambassadors, representing more than 2,500 employers, play an essential role in inspiring and engaging the next generation of scientists, technicians, engineers, mathematicians and technologists.

Share your volunteering stories

This International Volunteers’ Day, we want to celebrate the positive impact that STEM Ambassadors have on teachers, group leaders and, ultimately, young people. Whether you have recently signed up or have been volunteering for years, we would love to hear your volunteering stories!

To get involved, simply share your answers to one or more of the following questions:

  • Why did you decide to become a STEM Ambassador?
  • What is the best thing about volunteering?
  • What advice would you give to someone who is considering becoming a STEM Ambassador?

You can share your answers on Twitter by tagging @STEMAmbassdors and using the hashtag #TalkAboutSTEM.

If you would like to write a blog about your experiences of being (or working with) a STEM Ambassador, then we’d love to hear from you.
