Don’t miss the mathematics of games family day!

The National STEM Learning Centre is hosting a free family day, suitable for 7-14 year olds, to explore mathematics through fun and games. On Saturday 30 April 2016, take part in hands-on lectures, become a mathematics magician and visit our stands filled with games all related to mathematics. Think mathematics is just doing sums? Then this will be a game changer!

11:00 – 11:40, mathematics on the go with Rob Eastaway

Every parent would like to help their child with mathematics but the trouble is there never seems to be enough time. In this hands-on talk, bestselling author and mathematician Rob Eastaway will show you how to incorporate mathematics into everyday life. Find out games, magic tricks and investigations you can enjoy while you’re in the car, at a restaurant or simply standing in a queue. Come away buzzing with ideas to help your child improve their mathematical skills all whilst having fun!

11:40 – 14:00, visit our stands with mathematics games and explore our collection of some of the best mathematics-based games around.

  • try a range of games also available for purchase
  • complete our mathematics puzzles and scoop the top prize

Entry to the family day and workshops is free. Please register in advance.
