The Big Bang Fair offers a world of inspiration for young people and brings learning to life.

Taking place from 14-17 March 2018 at the NEC in Birmingham, visitors are spoilt for choice with hands-on activities and a range of stage shows.

This fair provides a fantastic opportunity for young people to see STEM brought to life in an unexpected way and have the chance to talk to scientists and engineers from universities and leading UK companies about their work.

Tickets are completely free and give students a unique insight into STEM in action.

The Big Bang competition

The Big Bang Fair also hosts the UK finals of The Big Bang Competition. Open to 11-18 year olds from across the UK, this competition offers opportunities for young people to showcase their STEM projects and be recognised for their achievements.

Finalists will compete for a number of exciting prizes, including a top and runner-up prizes in the Junior, Intermediate and Senior categories for science and engineering, as well as the coveted title of GSK UK Young Scientist(s) and UK Young Engineer(s) of the Year 2018.

Online entries are open until 30 October 2017. Finalists will present their work at The Big Bang Fair and will be judged over two days by an expert panel.

The winners will be announced at an award ceremony on 15 March 2018.
