Are your students ready for the future of design and making?
Applications are now open for a newly developed teacher CPD with a world leader in 3D design and engineering software, Autodesk.
We’re working together this summer term to run a unique, bursary funded training event that will explore how digital design and manufacturing tools can be used more effectively in the classroom. Discover how the future can enter your classroom today.
“The future of making is here, bringing with it radical changes in the way things are designed, made, and used. It's disrupting every industry: architecture, engineering, and construction; manufacturing; and media and entertainment.
Today’s generation of students are tomorrow’s generation of engineers. Autodesk Design School is about bridging the gap between education and industry, to inspire that next generation.” - Steve Parkinson, UK Education Manager, Autodesk.
The event will run in two parts
Part one
A three day (4 – 6 April 2018) residential course at the National STEM Learning Centre in York will pair teachers with Autodesk education specialists. Over the three days, participants will be challenged to develop subject knowledge in areas such as user-centred design and designing for industry. Sessions will look at how we can better prepare students for careers in digital design.
Part two
This will take place at the Autodesk office in London on 5 July 2018. Participants will have the opportunity to share their classroom experiences since the residential CPD, and gain new ideas for developing digital skills with students. See exactly where your students could end up with a career in digital design.
