Fun Science Workshops

Fun Science

We offer an alternative to taking your pupils to a science museum with our science workshops. All workshops are fully interactive and run by a highly trained Fun Scientist.

We currently have a range of pre-prepared 55 minute long workshops available to cover the following themes.

  • Our bodies
  • Weather
  • Air
  • Flight
  • Sound
  • Light and Illusions
  • Electricity
  • Chemical Reactions
  • Colours
  • Rockets
  • Energy
  • Forensics/crime scene investigation
  • Explosions

If you are studying a topic that is not listed above please do let us know and we will see what we can come up with.

Each workshop is suitable for up to 35 children and can be adapted to suit key stages 1 (ages 4-7), 2 (ages 7-11) or both.

- A greater knowledge of scientific principles

-Practical science skills

-Enthusiasm and passion for science

-A thirst for more scientific exploration

Grants for school

The Royal Institution runs two enrichment and enhancement grant schemes. Grants of up to £500 are available to UK-registered state schools to host a STEM activity selected from the STEM Directory.

There are a number of other organisations that offer grants to schools.
