In-school visit

Flashbang science is a bright mobile science laboratory coming to school doorsteps predominantly for children aged 4 – 11 but can accomodate other age groups. It is a controlled environment within school grounds ( no travel, set up, downtime costs for schools) Chemistry and physics based “hands on “practical science experimentation. Real science handled and managed by professional scientists and engineers, all fully CRB checked. Experiments demonstrated include Elephants toothpaste, Screaming Jelly baby, Antiseptic rainbow and Cola Fountain alongside 100+ workshops in the lab for the children ( Curriculum and Non Curriculum based ) eg Forensic Science, Renewable, Olympic Science.. The children don their labcoats and become scientists. Available to all schools regardless of size or ability. Progressive and tailored childrens experiments complementary and facilitatory to the New National Curriculum and to British Science Associations Creststar programme. Hassle and risk free magic of science for children and schools with all the excitement and fun! A typical lab school day consists of 5 x 1hr workshops and with 18 children per workshop can cater for 90 children in 1 school day.

We have now introduced CPD programmes for staff twilight sessions or inset days and also Experiment packs to send into schools for use and experimentation “inhouse”, Experiment packs include full instructions, risk assessments, teacher guidance notes and extension tips.
