This will include a breakdown of the variety of sensors and inputs with suggestions for how the micro:bit’s capabilities may be used for small and large projects within the classroom. In the second half of the session we will get hands on, building an assortment of micro:bit projects that cover the full breadth of the Curriculum for Wales.

Notes

As part of the BBC micro:bit - the next gen campaign, primary school pupils can get involved in a large-scale playground survey during the summer term. Children will use the BBC micro:bit to investigate the size, biodiversity, temperature and pupil activity levels in their school playground. The survey activities will introduce pupils aged 7-11 to machine learning and working with digital data. The BBC micro:bit – the next gen team will talk you through the exciting resources available and how you can support pupils to become data scientists in their very own playground.
