Summary
Using the exciting setting of Whipsnade Zoo, we will take you on an outdoor learning journey!
Facilitated in conjunction with the education department of Royal Society of Zoology at Whipsnade Zoo.
Participants will learn how to :
- identify outdoor activities that can be used as a context for relevant primary science enquiries
- plan for outdoor learning that develops knowledge and working scientifically skills
- plan and resource safe and effective outdoor learning that makes the most of your local environment
Who is the course leader?
Outcomes
You will be able to:
- understand how to develop the science curriculum beyond the classroom
- implement a wide range of strategies to develop the teaching and learning of biology, chemistry and physics beyond the classroom
- demonstrate an increased confidence in planning, resourcing rich experiences to develop working scientifically in different environments
