Summary

This conference will be taking place at the Rheged Centre, CA11 0DQ.

This conference has been designed for lead teachers of science or strand leaders and is centred on guidance from the EEF released in November 2023 on Improving Primary Science. The day has been designed to be flexible in terms of choice to enable delegates to select sessions which are most appropriate to support them on their professional development journey.

  • You will have a greater understanding of the recommendations of the EEF report and how it's findings can be implemented to improve primary science in your school
  • You will have strategies to support your students with vocabulary and talk in science  
  • You will consider the research into linking your lessons to the real World and why this is important 
  • You will think your current assessment and working scientifically lessons and consider whether they are fit to purpose. 
  • You will find out what the SLP has to offer and how it can support you on your curriculum journey
