CLEAPSS - Introduction to Supporting Biology and Chemistry Teaching RM298 / D168
Summary
This one-day practical course is designed for science technicians who have limited background knowledge in biology and/or chemistry and are new to working with the equipment used in science departments.
The objective of the course is to enable technicians to gain an understanding of how using CLEAPSS’ resources and adopting good practical techniques can help them support biology and chemistry safely and effectively. There will be a particular focus on interpreting information on the Hazcards for some common chemicals used in biology and chemistry practical work and using CLEAPSS Recipe Sheets to prepare solutions of these chemicals. There will also be the opportunity to identify hazards and how to overcome the risks associated with setting up and using apparatus typically used in biology and chemistry.
