This full day workshop is designed to maximise impact and progression and support teachers of science to meet the needs of learners with SEND within their science lessons.

The workshop introduces delegates to a range of practical strategies that they can take and use in their own settings for improving learning and progress of students with special educational needs.   This course is suitable for teachers (and teaching assistants) from primary and secondary phases.

Outcomes

  • To consider how to use additional adults effectively.
  • Learn strategies to improve vocabulary and oracy.
  • Learn how to adapt lessons for your learners and create resources that meet their needs.
  • Learn strategies to meet the specific needs of your SEND learners in science.
