Summary

Develop the background subject knowledge required to help planning and teaching physics for key stage 5. This course will help you to prepare for teaching the topic of fields and will focus on the subject knowledge needed to teach the content. You will explore ways of building student understanding, taking into account misconceptions and common issues in teaching key concepts. Primarily aimed at A-Level, this course may also be useful in supporting this topic area within other Level 3 science qualifications.

• Fundamentals of the three field types covered at A-level

• Similarities, differences and how these three field types link together

• Quantitively explore field strength, flux, potential & energy
