Secondary STEM DT Network Package: Writing a KS3 Design & Technology Curriculum RA913 / B54
Summary
This DT package is eligible for a subsidy of £300 when booking the whole package.
Sessions are also available to book at a cost of £75, when booked individually a £50 subsidy may be available.For further information email janslpadmin@ashtoncsc.com.
All sessions will take place remotely, 3:30-5pm
- Assessing KS3 Design and Technology - 29th Jan 24
- Developing a robust assessment and feedback strategy for KS3 Design and Technology that sits in line with the NC descriptors at KS3.
- Creative design tasks for secondary Design and Technology - 11th March 24
- A range of tasks designed to develop creativity within Design and Technology and promote confidence within design and modelling activities.
- Backward planning the curriculum from the GCSE NEA requirements - 29th April 24
- How we can start to prepare students for the GCSE (or equivalent) in Design and Technology from the very start of Year 7.
- Programming and Systems and Control for KS3 Design and Technology - 13th May 24
- An introduction to basic programming software and hardware to develop fun and interactive schemes of work for KS3 and beyond.
- Preparing for a deep dive/subject inspection with Design and Technology - 24th June 24
- How to gather and present evidence, how to show and promote best practice and how to evidence progress within your classroom/workshop.
- Writing a KS3 Design and Technology Curriculum - TBC
- Exemplar schemes of work, embedding the NC programmes of study, developing a broad and balanced KS3 curriculum, preparing students for KS4 option choices, exemplar project ideas and focused tasks.
