This secondary science network is designed to cover aspects of teaching that teachers and those new to the profession find most challenging.
This session will cover Responsive teaching and the next steps
Outcomes:
How can we use assessment for learning as an effective tool? What do we do if 60% of learners get a whiteboard task wrong? This session looks at how we respond to in classroom assessments to move the learning forward.
By the end of this network you will have:
- reflected on how to determine whether learners have grasped a learning point
- considered how to respond to in classroom assessments to move the learning forward
Who is the course leader?
Outcomes
Individual network meetings will have their own outcomes, specific to the content being covered. The network meetings will aim to:
- exemplify aspects of the Early Career framework
- provide participants with tools and strategies to deliver science effectively
- inform participants of the underpinning research and evidence as to why particular strategies are effective
- support participants through being part of a community
