Summary
This secondary science network is designed to cover aspects of teaching that teachers and those new to the profession find most challenging.
This session will cover Retreival and connective learning in science
DNA, retrieval roulette, what does the research say has impact on learning and why? This network will explore the neuroscience and how this can be effectively implemented to help your learners know and remember more in science.
Outcomes:
By the end of this network you will have:
- reflected on the research about retrieval practice in science
- identified how processing learning helps to build depth of knowledge and recall for your students in science.
Who is the course leader?
Outcomes
Individual network meetings will have their own outcomes, specific to the content being covered. The network meetings will aim to:
- exemplify aspects of the Early Career framework
- provide participants with tools and strategies to deliver science effectively
- inform participants of the underpinning research and evidence as to why particular strategies are effective
- support participants through being part of a community
