This session will cover Developing reading in science lessons.
Reading will allow your pupils to understand more science and access assessment. What does effective practice in science lessons look like? This network is an opportunity to explore the research and develop practice.
Outcomes:
By the end of this network you will have:
- Reflected on the research about strategies that support the development of disciplinary language development
- Implement strategies that support reading in science and incorporating a breadth of scientific reading materials in your curriculum delivery.

Outcomes
Individual network meetings will have their own outcomes, specific to the content being covered. The network meetings will aim to:
- exemplify aspects of the Early Career framework
- provide participants with tools and strategies to deliver science effectively
- inform participants of the underpinning research and evidence as to why particular strategies are effective
- support participants through being part of a community
