ECT Conference: Getting started with primary science RA124 / A02
Summary
Teaching primary science can be daunting. If you are new to teaching or in the first 5 years of your career, this remote conference will help to develop your confidence to teach science and to know how to plan for effective and engaging lessons.
Primary science nurtures children’s natural curiosity and develops children’s understanding of the world. Through practical activities children learn essential enquiry skills, as they build their understanding of the value and place science has in their lives.
Over the conference you will explore a range of practical science techniques, activities and resources, whilst considering the impact they have upon the learning of your pupils. You will also discover how to make the most of the links between science and maths to benefit the children in your class.
A Teacher Release Payment of £50 is available for maintained schools. Please note that this does not deduct the fee immediately. You will receive an invoice for the full amount and the Teacher Release Payment will be released back to the school once attendance at the event has been confirmed
