Maths in Secondary Science Subscription (Graph, Algebra & Number) RC913 / C17
Summary
We are running three courses, each with a different focus:
Algebra - 8 March 2023 @ 09:15 - 16:00 - The course covers algebra basics, solving equations and rearranging equations.
Graphs - 17 March 2023 @ 09:15 - 16:00 - The course covers sketching graphs, interpreting graphs, and drawing graphs.
Number - 27th March 2023 @ 09:15 - 16:00 - The course covers the use of a calculator, significant figures, and standard form, dealing with units and proportional reasoning.
This subscription includes all 3 sessions of the Maths in Science series that we are running. This will include a TRP for eligible schools of 70% towards the total of all 3 events, making this whole series a total cost of only £166.50. This is a cost per school, so please email NMSLP@potteries.ac.uk if you are interested in this subscription.
Who is the course leader?
Outcomes
Participants will:
- Experience a variety of mathematical teaching resources and techniques designed to improve graphing skills in GCSE science.
- Develop an appreciation of the value of sketching graphs.
- Develop pedagogical skills to help improve student outcomes when interpreting and drawing graphs.
