Summary

This short course will support you in understanding primary programming progression in Key Stage 2 using the Scratch interface.  
During this course you will look at progression across Key Stage 2 linked to variables.  
You will develop a bank of resources to teach programming within KS2 computing lessons and gain ideas for cross-curricular projects.  
You will explore pedagogical approaches based on current research to support you in teaching programming effectively in your classroom.

Who is the course leader?

Outcomes

Scratch is a high-level visual programming language tool that interacts with users through diagrams and blocks that have the basics of a program inbuilt in it. Scratch is used to make interactive programs especially for kids using the block kind of interfaces so that they can easily learn languages and it is free to use.
