Summary
Collecting, analysing and presenting data in primary science requires and provides opportunity for the use and development of mathematical skills.
Throughout this course, you will identify how to maximise your pupils' opportunities to develop their numeracy skills and improve attainment in science by planning lessons in which children effectively handle data. You will be provided with skills and tools to support the implementation of developing mathematics skills in your science lessons.
Exchange Teaching Hub is funding a series of focused professional development events for teachers and leaders of science across Yorkshire and the Humber.

Outcomes
By the end of this CPD event, you will be able to:
- Develop a clear understanding of the requirements of the National Curriculum in relation to science and maths;
- Explore links between the programme of studies for science and maths
- Consider the application and transition of skills across the two subjects.
- Identify links and teaching and learning opportunities between maths and Science.
