Summary

The primary computing curriculum provides many opportunities for using physical computing devices to develop pupils’ computational thinking skills. During this session, we’ll use a wide range of devices, including Bee-Bots, Pro-Bots, Code-a-pillar, micro:bit, Crumble, Sphere, Lego WeDo, Ozobot, Makes Make and more to examine how they can be use teach programming related lessons. 

Outcomes

  • Complete hands on programming activities using a range of physical computing devices
  • Examine suitability of devices for use in the classroom
  • Identify opportunities for implementing physical computing devices within schemes of work
