Summary

Join us for the Cambridge summer term primary science network meeting led by Clare Warren.

Topic: Primary Science Update and progression in asking and planning to answer questions.

The Ofsted report 'Finding the optimum' recommended that "schools should ensure that the curriculum identifies and sequences the disciplinary knowledge that pupils need to work scientifically. This should not be limited to learning about scientific techniques, data analysis or fair test. It should include developing their knowledge of all areas of working scientifically, including different types of scientific enquiry, such as pattern seeking, and concepts such as evidence and accuracy".

Following an initial update on what's new in the world of primary science, this meeting will consider ways that pupils' disciplinary (working scientifically) knowledge can be developed, especially the ability to ask questions and plan wats to answer those questions.
