Summary
The second development afternoon of the year so as to focus on the UK wide network offer for Biology. The session will be hosted by Mary Howell (Professional Development Leader for Biology, STEM Education team) and Matt King (Lead for the only specialist Biology Science Learning Partnership in the UK).
This session aims to:
- Further develop links for Biology across the network and identfy further network partners with an interest in Biology who would like to contrinute at a national level.
- Review the current STEM teacher CPD programme for Biology and complete a needs analysis to identify gaps
- Begin to plan for an exciting future 'Biology roadshow' event next year aimed at a UK wide audience
- Futher share additional microscale Biology practicals to include microscale Catalase and a microscale titration for Vitamin C. This builds on the microscale biology practicals shared at the first meeting.
