Cross Curricular Professional Development – Collaborative Teaching in Maths and Science RC298 / B126

Summary

Cross Curricular Professional Development –  Collaborative Teaching in Maths and Science

This is an opportunity to develop a collaborative approach between mathematics and science teachers and departments within your school, to establish supportive and cohesive methods.

Please note - this course is only for state funded schools in Solihull, Coventry and Warwickshire LA districts.

Who is it for?

Mathematics is taught across many different subjects in secondary school, and mathematics is a particularly big feature of the science curriculum.

As part of this opportunity, two teachers from each school (one mathematics and one science) will work together to establish similarities and differences in approaches to help develop a cohesive approach for pupils.

This online Work Group uses expertise from mathematics and science to consider how to improve the learning and outcomes for pupils by working together practically and collaboratively.

We are delighted that we will be working in conjunction with the Origin Maths Hub to facilitate these online professional development sessions.

Who can apply?

This programme is for two teachers (one mathematics and one science) from secondary schools who would like to further develop their knowledge of developing a cohesive cross-curricula approach to teaching mathematics and science.

What is the cost?

The Cross Curricular Professional Development –  Collaborative Teaching in Maths and Science project is fully funded by the Maths Hubs Programme so is free to participating schools.
