Devon & Cornwall Tertiary Science Support Package to take place throughout the Spring term.

Colleges sign up at the full price of £500 but on completion of the package, colleges will receive a £450 bursary taking overall cost down to just £50.

By subscribing to this package of CPD provided by Devon & Cornwall SLP your college will be entitled to:

One bespoke departmental CPD up to 2 hours to be run as a twilight for your whole science department. Examples of popular bespoke departmental CPD include: 

• Improving teaching and learning in T Levels
• Maximising learning in post 16 science practical work. 
• Supporting disadvantaged learners in science: Closing the gap. 

Two remote CPD courses (consisting of two twilights and a gap task).  The package provides two places (can be the same teacher/technician or two different teachers/technicians).  Courses that will be available include: 

• Developing learners' resilience and independent learning skills in post 16 science
• Using metacognition and retrieval practice to improve student outcomes in post 16 science. 
• The Art of Demos: How to get the most from practical science demonstrations 

The package is heavily subsidised due to some additional funding we have secured and therefore offers excellent value for money.  It is only available to a limited number of colleges on a first come first served basis. Bookings need to be made before the end of this term to qualify for the funding so if you are interested, please act quickly.

A nominated point of contact for your college (e.g. Head of Science) should book onto this event. They will then be sent details of how to book the CPD included as part of this package.
