Summary

Oxfordshire and Reading SLP are running a deconstructed Priamry Science conference over two weeks at the end of January - beginning of February.  Participants will be able to pay one fee to access all sessions, or access indivdiual sessions separately.  The conference will include a keynote from Nicky Waller on  Memorable Science which will help teachers to develop the tools and confidence to enable effective and inspiring learning to take place across the primary age range. Based upon Nicky's book, A Creative Approach to Teaching Science, you will develop your own approaches to planning and teaching primary science and explore ways to bring the curriculum to life through innovative practical ideas and discussion tasks.

Nicky Waller has over 25 years of experience working to develop primary science with teachers and children across the country. She currently works as an advisory teacher for primary science in the north-east. Her book 'A Creative Approach to Teaching Science' has been well received by primary teachers and shows us that science teaching should be exciting, inspiring and memorable.

There will also be sessions on practical science, using floorbooks, What is in my Science cupboard, EYFS science, and leadership of science in school.
