Stretch and Challenge RK298 / A76
Summary
The aim of this CPD is to look at techniques, strategies and ideas to challenge students at all levels and stretch their cognitive processes. Looking at open and rich questions, as well as science in different contexts, in order to allow students to confidently articulate logical thought processes.
This course outlines how to develop teaching and curriculum design to stretch and challenges pupils in science. Participants will gain an understanding of what stretch and challenge should look like based on evidence from Ofsted and research. Participants will develop a tool kit of strategies to support teaching and will reflect on how curriculum design can help to stretch and challenge learners.
These sessions are free for maintained schools from Derby, Nottingham, Northampton and Leicester. Other maintained schools will be charged £95
