Developing the KS1 Knowledge Organiser using the Teach Computing Curriculum CB303 / D08
Summary
Summary:
The first of three workshops, designed to guide teachers in creating computing knowledge organisers using the Teach Computing curriculum. This session will focus on KS1 only and will be facilitated by a subject matter expert.
The computing curriculum aims to deepen understanding of computer science, information technology and digital literacy. The knowledge organisers will reflect this and be a useful tool within the classroom to support pupils' retrieval practice. Knowledge organisers are often a key element of formative and summative assessment or are used as a scaffolding technique to support learners with important parts of the curriculum.
During this workshop, teachers will work collaboratively to abstract the key concepts and vocabulary within KS1 computing. This will lead to the development of their own school knowledge organiser for computing, based around the Teach Computing curriculum.
