Autumn

Subject Leader Updates – 18th Nov 2021

How do we use meaningful assessments – digging deeper

During this session we will look at what we mean by assessment in science and how to make it meaningful and accurate. We will look at ways to support the long term recall of learning in science and how we link this to our assessment of children, particularly at the end of each Key Stage.

By the end of this session you will:

  • recap and refresh yourself with assessment standards at the end of key stages.
  • share assessment strategies that have been used successfully in school.
  • be able to make confident assessments; particularly in working scientifically.

By the end of this session you will:

  • recap and refresh yourself with the working scientifically part of the science curriculum.
