Working scientifically is an important compnent of the primary science curriculum, since it allows pupils to generate questions in a way that they can be investigated and to collect the evidence to answer their questions.  In this CPD we will look at the different types of enquiry and how they can be used to ensure a progression of skills.

Who is the course leader?

By the end of the session you will:

  • Understand the different types of enquiry and the progression of skills,
  • Appreciate that how a question is asked may determine the type of enquiry;
  • Suggest how to plan a particular investigation and communicate findings.
