Post-16 Remote National Science Network: Teaching and Learning in 2021-2022 RC529 / C06
Summary
As colleges and schools return to a more regular form of education, collaboration is more important than ever before. Through this unique collaboration between City of Stoke-on-Trent Sixth Form College, Abbeygate Sixth Form College and West Suffolk College you will have the opportunity to share information on teaching and learning, learn from others and navigate through the changing world of science in post 16 education. You will be provided with expert help from post 16 science practitioners to identify priority issues, signpost support and will be able to develop solutions, drawing on the expertise of others within the group.
At this session we will focus on practical science and how schools and colleges are managing the process of educational recovery in this area, following the closures and social distancing requirements that took place last academic year.We will hear from colleagues on how they have approached practical science, the challenges that are being presented and how they are developing practical skills with their students. We will also be sharing ideas and resources that can be used in your own classroom and consider which aspects of remote or blended delivery still has a role to play in the practical science laboratory.
