Summary

Cheshire & Wirral and Greater Merseyside SLPs are delighted to invite Primary Science Leads & Primary Leadership to this fully funded event, where we will highlight some of the key points from the Ofsted Science Research Report and the SLP’s role in supporting the teaching of science.
The Ofsted Research Report (published at the end of April) draws together what the research tells us about how to deliver science successfully in our schools. It considers a number of key factors, including the roles of substantive and disciplinary knowledge.
In this webinar, we will help you understand these terms so that you can explain them to other teachers. We will consider how they apply to the primary science curriculum. We will also discuss how the review might inform the inspection process and what might be included as part of this.
There will be an opportunity to reflect on your own setting and to consider your next steps. We will also outline our programmes and explain how the Science Learning Partnership can support you.We recognise that we all want the best possible experience of science for our pupils and we welcome primary science leads and school leaders to join us.
