A Forensic Crime Scene and Evidence Analysis - ideas for a STEM Club or BTEC course
This 1 hour session is designed for technicians to give them ideas for setting up a mock crime scene and types of evidence that can be planted and analysed.
The session will be led by one of our Senior Chemistry Technicians who is an ex Forensic Scientist with 22 years experience and who was responsible for crime scene to court room training across law enforcement agencies.
We will cover:
- discussion on the types of scenes to set up
- analysis of a mocked up crime scene photo
- wash up of guilt versus innocence - what the defence might say to counter the evidence

Outcomes
You will:
- receive updates and share current best practice
- consider ways in which technical support for science departments can be optimised
- establish a working brief for the network
- identify future training needs
