On this course you will:

  • Identify the aspects of the curriculum required for a smooth transition to A level
  • Explore the development of practical and mathematical skills
  • Learn how to plan for effective and engaging teaching to cope with the increased demands of the A level specification

KS3 and GCSE science should provide a strong foundation to post-16 study and this is enhanced if teachers understand where and how those concepts and ideas are developed. This course will allow you to develop an overview of secondary science. So whether you are newly qualified or experienced teacher, by working alongside an expert teacher and Stem Learning approved consultant, you will enhance your knowledge and understanding of the demands of A levels so that you can best help your pupils make the transition.
