Summary

In this course you will develop subject knowledge and teaching strategies to confidently deliver CPD sessions on the use of number in the GCSE science specifications. You will apply these skills, using appropriate resources, in biology, physics and chemistry contexts. 
This course is for educational consultants and teachers who have been accredited with STEM Learning's CPD Quality Mark and who wish to enhance their accreditation to enable them to further support teachers of science on behalf of their Science Learning Partnership.
 In the course you will work through three PDEs to enable you to deliver effective science CPD around: Using a calculator, significant figures and standard formDealing with unitsProportional reasoning

Outcomes

You will:

  • Experience a variety of teaching techniques applicable to the teaching of number in GCSE science
  • Have access to three PDEs, the content of which can be delivered though SLPs
