Summary

This course is filled with simple to make, low cost investigations that don't require any specialist knowledge to present. They are designed to grab pupils' attention and imagination. Dr Matt Prichard has 13 years of experience as a science communicator and is an associate of the Inner Magic Circle. He will showcase demonstrations you haven't seen before but will want to start using straight away. Evidenced by psychological studies, this course will explore the psychological benefits of using wonder as a tool when teaching science.

Who is the course leader?

Outcomes

You will:
  • learn a host of novel science tricks and curious investigations using everyday objects
  • understand how to use the 'Wow, How, Now' model to guide pupils through the discovery process
  • have a greater understanding of the role and benefits of wonder for both the pupil and teacher
