- explain the purpose of graphs and how this may be conveyed in a science context.
- discuss the issues surrounding the teaching and learning of ‘graphs’ in a science context
- consider the value of ‘sketching’ graphs to develop interpretation and graph drawing skills
- discuss how to approach reading information from graphs, including distance – time graphs and the area under a graph
- Consider how to draw graphs: suitable scales, gradients and tangents
