Summary
Supporting students to detect, understand and correct their own, and other’s misconceptions is at the heart of diagnostic teaching. Through implementation of strategies and tools, we will look at how diagnostic teaching can be supported in the virtual classroom, or through a blended learning approach, to support improvement in student outcomes.
Outcomes
You will be able to:
- to understand the importance of objectives and outcomes in diagnostic teaching.
- to consider how the BEST Evidence resources can be used in diagnostic teaching.
- to utilise strategies to identify and address misconceptions.
- to identify how misconceptions might have been reinforced in schemes of learning or through remote teaching.
