Summary
The Kent Local Section (KLS) of the Royal Society of Chemistry shares the concern of many in science education over the lack of practical experiences students are currently enjoying. To assist secondary schools in this respect, KLS is providing a grant for the purchase of visualisers. Feedback from science teachers indicates that visualisers are useful tools for both recording chemical demonstrations during school closure and for effectively sharing activities in socially-distanced classrooms. This project will be carried out in partnership with the STEM Hub & Kent and Medway SLP.
Outcomes
Please note that the mission of the RSC is to enhance education in the chemical sciences. The training and initial expectation of usage will be chemistry related. However, it is accepted that in time the visualiser is likely to be used across the sciences.
