Summary
This course will focus on preparing for an OFSTED Deep Dive in primary science by focusing on a set of questions which will help you to audit the science curriculum and assessment across your school. You will use this to develop an action plan that is bespoke to your school with support from the course leader. Examples from schools that have experienced OFSTED deep dives in science will be included and the course leader will give feedback on in school activities between session 1 and 2 to support your preparation for an OFSTED deep dive.
Outcomes
You will be able to:
- use the OFSTED framework to audit science across your school
- carry out a self - evaluation of science across your school
- develop an action plan based on your self evaluation
- develop a programme of monitoring science that will help to sustain effective change
- prepare effectively for an OFSTED deep dive in primary science.
