Summary

Are you teaching KS5 physics for the first time? Perhaps you have been teaching it for a few years and are now looking for some new ideas to get the most out of practical work. This session focuses on teaching the practical component of A-level Physics.  We will look at developing practical skills & independence in practical working; and the application of practical skills to the exam.  We will also consider the associated maths skills, particularly around graphs and uncertainties.

  • Have considered the role of practical work in Physics A-Level and how it is assessed
  • Have investigated the application of maths skills in practical work
  • Have evaluated opportunities for stretch and challenge of students
