Themes explored; Pedagogy and Closing the Covid gap
“They can’t draw graphs”, “They struggle with rearranging equations”. Poor Maths skills are often the reason that students have difficulty with physics. In this session, we’ll discuss those difficulties and think about some strategies to address them.
Outcomes
- You will gain a knowledge of what the new framework and the "deep dives" will look like in your own school setting
- Develop an awareness of effective strategies to support the new framework with colleagues in outreach work
- Opportunity to network with colleagues in a similar role across both primary and secondary phases
- We will also have the opportunity to discuss the challenges of being a science SLE trying to support collegues during the pandemic
