Summary
This course will combine online and face -to-face learning, and will provide an overview of the key pedagogical areas that affect learning in science. Through consideration and discussion of a range of educational literature, research and concepts, participants will identify and explore priority areas for development and how to deliver these priorities through the Departmental Development Plan for Science. The course build on the Association for Science Education School Improvement Cluster that engages leaders of science education in departmental improvement
Outcomes
You will be able to:
- explore, evaluate and select from a range of pedigogical approaches
- idenitify priority areas for development
- plan contextualised best practice strategies for improvement in learning
- work collaboratively to evaluate impact on learning
- review schemes of learning for clarity of intent and implementation
