Summary
Develop a design and technology curriculum that considers the sequencing of knowledge and skill acquisition. Through a combination of department self-assessment and remote delivered sessions you will develop a curriculum that has a clear rationale for teaching order and coverage.
Sessions will explore:
- Key Stage 3 curriculum review
- Planning for GCSE design and echnology
- Incorporating prior knowledge learned in key stage 2.
Please note, this course does not include content to support food technology.
Outcomes
By the end of this course you will be able to:
- explore the principles behind sequencing a high quality design and technology curriculum
- audit your own Key Stage 3 curriculum and identify improvements
